App player maker BlueStacks has secured strategic investment from AMD, Citrix and others. Current investors also took part in the investment round, bringing the total backing to US$14 million. An alpha version of BlueStacksApp Player for Windows, which allows Android apps to run on the Windows PC, laptop and tablet OS, has been downloaded in more than 100 countries. The funding will be used to speed up product development and provide better support to the company’s growing user base.
