The latest version of RIM’s BlackBerry app store, BlackBerry App World 3.0, is now available.

According to the BlackBerry website, the major changes to the platform include a new homescreen with rotating banners to show what’s new, and apps, games and theme channels to improve browsing.

The homescreen now provides direct access to account information – including payment options and BlackBerry ID – while the new My World feature allows users to manage apps and subscription services and provides notifications of subscription renewals.

There is also the ability to share favourite apps via BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, email and SMS, direct from the app details screen, using a tool called App Social Sharing.

Other new features reported by BlackBerry news site blackberryrocks include an evolved App Details screen providing a summary of apps including reviews, ratings and screenshots and improved search functionality.
