Mobile app and tool company Bitzio has passed 40 million downloads for its technology and announced the launch of a beta of its app promotion exchange, App Wall, as it moves towards offering app analytics services.

Bitzio plans to use data and app conversion metrics from the downloads to expand into behavioural data and App Wall is an important element in this. The technology is designed to be embedded within mobile apps and display additional apps that might be of interest to users – meaning apps can be promoted with little marketing effort from developers.

For every title they show in their own app, developers earn a credit for a shared ad on the Bitzio network. Bitzio apps, such as Picibooth and Convert Units Free HD, will feature App Wall functionality within 30 days.

“Using data to analyze user behaviors becomes invaluable to increase those conversions. App Wall is just one way Bitzio will be able to drive effective user acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization,” said Bitzio president and CEO William Schonbrun.
