ApplsFlyer, an Israel-based start-up that provides technology to boost app marketing campaigns, has raised $7.1 million in Series A funding from Pitango Venture Capital and Magma Venture Partners.

The company’s some 1,000 clients include Sega, Alawar, Foursquare, Baidu, and Mail.ru.

With the start-up’s NativeTrack technology, AppsFlyer asserts those companies can do a better job at calculating customer lifetime value and determining optimal ad spend.

Oren Kaniel, chief executive of AppsFlyer, said in an interview with VentureBeat that the new funding will help the company scale globally.

AppsFlyer said it’s already measuring billions of mobile actions monthly and that its SDKs are now installed on more than 800 million mobile devices, measuring more than $500 million in annual mobile ad spend.

The start-up said it became profitable last year and that the current funding round was oversubscribed.
