Apple’s App Store has passed the seven billion downloads milestone, up from 6.5 billion at the start of September. The company announced its latest stat yesterday, at the same time it unveiled its App Store for Mac computers. Due to launch in 90 days’ time, it will work much like the iOS version, allowing Mac users to browse, buy and install apps, with developers getting a 70 percent share of revenue.
Meanwhile Apple’s App store is currently achieving 10 million downloads every day – more than Android Market, BlackBerry App World and Android Market combined.
