Apperian has added crowdsourcing and gamification elements to its EASE enterprise mobile app management platform.

Crowdsourcing brings together users and developers to drive improvements for existing products or generate ideas for new apps. Users are encouraged to give their feedback through gamification techniques, such as the awarding of badges for the best ideas, leader boards and ratings systems.

An AppRatings system has also been added which lets users give feedback on apps that that they use. This  allows users to give ratings from one to five stars, and to leave comments about apps.

The new functionality is designed to help businesses generated feedback to improve the usability and adoption of mobile apps by employees.

“There are many great ideas for mobile business apps that never see the light of day because there is no easy way for employees to get involved. Crowdsourcing enables IT to engage with users and developers in a way that results in better applications and adoption,” said Apperian senior VP of roducts Allan Murray.
