Four of Finland’s “most well-known technology thought leaders” have set up a company called Apped to create “new kinds of business applications, which function like app stores’ downloadable games”.

Apped aims to make use of company data with with no development or maintenance requirements, which it believes believes will save in-house resources. It said its apps will comply with companies’ security specifications.

It has already received €0.5 million in private funding as well as investment from Tekes, a Finnish funding agency, “for planning global growth”.

The company claims there is a growing need for its “revolutionary business model” of “mixing business with gaming pleasure” based on research it conducted across the most important markets in Finland, covering 100,000 data professionals.
