Amazon’s Cloud Player music service has been launched as an app for iPhone and iPod Touch devices, allowing users to download and stream music they have stored online.

The free app gives Amazon users 5GB of online storage to which they can upload their digital music collection. They can then access their music in a range of different ways.

The Cloud Player app also allows users to play music already on their device as well as create and upload playlists.

Amazon VP of digital music Steve Boom said customers want access to all of their music when they’re out and about and that bringing Cloud Player to the Apple devices means Amazon now has “the most widely compatible cloud playback solution available”.
