Mobile app developer ActionApp expects its portfolio of iPhone apps to exceed 500 titles within the next two months, with around half of the apps available for free and monetised through advertising.

Dustin Secor, CEO of Andiamo – ActionApp’s parent company – described the milestone as a “huge accomplishment”, adding that the company is approaching 14 million downloads on its existing inventory of 70 apps. In December, the company served almost 10 million ad requests through 35 existing titles.

“We are very excited to see a substantial increase in our already solid download count as well as continued increases in revenue as a result of these new apps. Our development team is working around the clock to make this happen," said Secor.

In January, ActionApp entered into a purchase agreement with another, unnamed independent developer to purchase 200 iPhone apps, which it said will yield 400 additional products once converted to the ActionApp business model.
