“Prolific” mobile app developer ActionApp entered into a purchase agreement with another, unnamed independent developer to purchase 200 iPhone apps, which it said will yield 400 additional products once converted to the ActionApp business model.

The acquisition follows a buy of 23 apps announced last week, and will take the company’s total inventory to more than 520 titles. This includes products with HD and 3D graphics.

Dustin Secor, CEO of ActionApp, said: “Our goal is to engage the consumer and keep them in the ActionApp Network for multiple sales and downloads, which will lead to increased organic revenue and improved rankings through app sales and advertising.”

In addition to replicating its catalogue across Android and iOS platforms, ActionApp intends translating products into different languages, to expand its presence beyond English-speaking markets.

Both purchases are expected to be complete by the first week of February, after which the apps will be “re-worked,” and integrated with ActionApp’s proprietary database, social media, analytical tracking and other advertising tools. Consumer availability is anticipated in the next 120 days.
