Accenture, a consultancy, has teamed up with Crittercism to strengthen its hand at helping enterprise clients develop and implement their mobile application strategies.

As part of the alliance agreement with Crittercism, which plays in the mobile application performance management (mAPM) space, Accenture made an undisclosed minority investment in the firm. Accenture takes a seat on Crittercism’s advisory board.

The consultancy also becomes a reseller for Crittercism’s mAPM solution, integrating it into the Accenture Application Factory. The ‘factory’ designs, builds, tests and manages applications for enterprises around the world.

“As our clients are advancing their app strategies, we can now offer them timely insights into their apps’ performance, and help them to drive a consistently good experience for their users, which is vital to success,” said Jin Lee, senior managing director, Accenture Mobility, part of Accenture Digital.

As part of a previous joint development agreement between the two companies, Accenture oversaw the development of the newly-launched Crittercism Executive Dashboard App for the iPad.

The dashboard provides enterprise senior management with a “high-level view” of the health of their mobile app strategies. Accenture claims it “enables teams to communicate seamlessly, and be empowered to take immediate action where application performance requires it”.
