Swedish app developer, distributor and managed service company, 24MAS, has agreed to buy UK-based app publisher P1 Sports.

P1 develops a range of sport apps and games for mobile platforms including iOS and Android. It has licensed IP related to  Six Nations Rugby, PDC Darts and the World Snooker Championship, as well as personalities such as snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan and jockey Frankie Dettori.

With the deal, 24MAS gains a catalogue of content as well as P1’s experience in sport advertising and sponsorship.

24MAS already has a few games that make use of sports IP, such as Ice One Racing and former Formula One world champion Kimi Räikkönen. The first fruits of the P1 Sports acquisition are expected to launch this year.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
