About 15,000 children and family members around the US will benefit from a partnership which will equip 15 of the Children’s Health Fund’s mobile medical clinics with the latest telecoms technology from the Verizon Foundation.

The nationwide initiative launched at the end of June in Miami with the first telemedicine-enabled mobile clinic.

The Children’s Health Fund is the leading pediatric provider of mobile clinic-based healthcare to homeless and low-income children and their families.

Verizon is providing its Miami unit with an LTE connection and upgraded telecoms equipment that enables the mobile clinic to provide telehealth services from wherever it is situated.
