Telenor has won a contract to supply telephony and other communications services to all of Norway’s health authorities.

The contract, which is the operator’s largest for domestic telephony, is worth NKr120 million ($21.5 million) per year and covers both fixed and mobile telephony, as well as communications solutions such as mobile business networks and unified communications.

The contract runs for two years, with an option to extend it for a further two years.

Telenor says it has worked with various partners on pilot projects to develop communications solutions specifically designed for the health sector.
