As Chief Research Officer, Stuart Carlaw leads ABI Research’s analyst teams covering global technology markets. Stuart’s primary responsibility is the management of industry research content, technology and market focus, subject matter guidance, product portfolio mix, custom and consulting as well as client engagements and strategic advisory provisioning.

He brings to the task a deep understanding of the critical issues and technologies, stemming from his immersion in these markets for over decade as both an analyst and an engineer.

Prior to joining ABI Research, Stuart was a Telecommunications Technician in the British Army, and then Senior Analyst and later Wireless Research Director at IMS Research. At IMS he was the primary Bluetooth analyst, and responsible for all short range wireless research.

As Core Voice Network Operations Senior Manager at EE, Richard has over 30 years’ experience in Telecommunications. With the last 17 years having been spent in Networks operations with Orange and EE, Richard was the Lead Operations Manager for all UK based Mobile Operators covering the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, working to ensure all network Operators were ready to support the multiple networks and in-building solutions installed across all venues.

Ian is an established entrepreneur and business turnaround leader and has been operating in the technology, telecommunications and services sectors for 30 years. He is CEO of Axell Wireless, an organisation he created following the 2007 management buy in (MBI) of Aerial Facilities in the UK and Avitec AB of Sweden. Ian has provided the leadership to develop Axell into the market leadership position it occupies today including the expansion of Axell’s international sales and support network. Ian is involved in all aspects of the business but is particularly focused on R & D in addition to supporting the sales and marketing teams. In May 2013, Axell was acquired by global technology giant Cobham plc. Prior to joining Axell Ian operated Consilium Associates, a business advisory and turnaround practice.
