Samsung updated its wearables range, unveiling its Gear Fit2 band and Gear IconX earbuds.

Gear Fit2 includes embedded GPS and heart rate monitor, offering “accurate and robust” fitness tracking and measurement. It has a curved AMOLED touch screen, and has a standalone music player (with 4GB of storage).

Gear IconXGear IconX are cord-free earbuds that can track fitness information and provide users with feedback on running performance. It also offers a “standalone music listening experience”, with storage for up to 1,000 songs.

“Our wearable technology can enhance existing routines and blend fitness and fun. The Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX are specialised to easily address these needs, ultimately allowing users to get more out of their fitness experiences and everyday activities,” said Younghee Lee, EVP of global marketing in the mobile unit at Samsung Electronics.

Gear Fit2 will be available from 10 June. Gear IconX will be available in Q3.
