LG Electronics announced availability of a large screen smartphone with “best in class” camera for 3G markets, stating that this delivers “features unavailable in competing devices”.

LG Ray will be available in CIS this week, followed by Latin America.

The device has a 5.5-inch HD (720 pixel) screen, 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras. The Android Lollipop device is powered by a 1.4GHz octacore processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage (with microSD slot).

It will be available in single- and dual-SIM versions.

“Customers in 3G markets continue to be a priority for LG so we will continue to develop new products with these consumers in mind,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications.
