UK mobile market leader EE announced what it described as “the world’s first wearable 4G camera”, which it said enables buyers to stream HD video of their day-to-day lives.

Called 4GEE Capture Cam, it has an 8MP resolution, with 4GB of internal memory and expandable storage. It comes with a companion app, which enables control of the camera functions from a smartphone.

The launch follows the debut of the 4GEE Action Cam earlier in 2015. In a statement, the operator said it “plans to build on this range of cameras for businesses in the coming year, with more details to come in 2016”.

4GEE Capture Cam is available with both contract and pay-as-you-go service plans – pricing starts from £10 per month including 1GB of data on a 24 month contract, or £129.99 with 2GB of preloaded data for prepaid.
