Chinese equipment and handset vendor ZTE released two new Blade smartphone models for its domestic market that feature an upgraded fingerprint scanner, allowing users to quickly unlock their devices and create shortcuts to other applications.

The Blade A910 has a 5.5-inch Amoled HD screen, a 1.3GHz quadcore CPU and an all-metal frame that is only 6.9mm thick. It comes with the latest generation fingerprint scanner that lets users unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds, the company said. The feature also allows users to program up to five shortcuts to different applications. It has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The Blade V7 Max also has a 5.5-inch screen and runs on a 1.8GHz Octacore CPU. The 3D fingerprint scanner is located on the side of the device to free up space on the back. It has a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

Both devices run on Android 5.1.

Adam Zeng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices, said it is aggressively expanding its sales channels this year. He said the company expects sales of smartphones to reach 70 million.
