App tools company AppsGeyser advised developers to be aware of the importance of “app store optimisation”, to ensure that products stand out among competitors.

It noted:  “The first impression of your app is presented to a potential user in the description, icon and screenshots you create and to prove that you continue to invest in your app, app ratings and app updates are your final chances to convince a potential user to download your app.”

The company recommended developers start by finding the “ideal keywords” for their business. It suggests using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool to find which tags feature highly on search rankings, with the smallest amount of competition.

It suggests that “keywords will determine how you name your app”.
